Why the AHPC Portal Is Failing Allied Health Students
In 2025, the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) of Pakistan launched a digital portal to modernize the registration and licensing system for allied health students and professionals. The goal was to offer convenience and accessibility for diploma, F.Sc, BS (Hons), MS/MPhil, and PhD-level applicants in both public and private healthcare sectors.
However, this promising initiative has turned into a source of deep frustration. Students now face long delays, repetitive objections, and zero support. As a result, many experience emotional stress, financial loss, and missed career opportunities—especially abroad.
Let’s explore why this system is collapsing and how it’s affecting the future of allied health in Pakistan.
🚀 How the AHPC Portal Was Supposed to Help Allied Health Professionals
Syed Asad Ul Abbas Naqvi, Secretary General of the Allied Health Organization, spearheaded the digital portal with a clear vision. He aimed to offer a user-friendly system that allowed health professionals to apply for registration and licenses from home.
The Main Benefits Were Meant to Include:
- Remote access to council services
- Digital submission of essential documents
- Quick and efficient registration for new and experienced applicants
- Faster processing for professionals planning to work abroad
Despite these intentions, the system has failed to deliver a smooth experience.
⚠️ The Reality: Common AHPC Portal Problems Faced by Students in Pakistan

Although the digital platform looked like a solution on paper, the actual experience tells a different story. Here’s how the system continues to disappoint users nationwide:
❌ Unclear Interface of the AHPC Portal: A Major Barrier for Applicants
Most users struggle with the portal due to its complex layout and lack of instructional materials. Without proper guidance, students make mistakes, and the portal frequently rejects their applications.
“Even qualified professionals get stuck in the review process. Those without tech skills find it impossible,” says a diploma student from Gujranwala.
Unfortunately, the council has failed to provide tutorial videos or even basic step-by-step guides.
🔁 AHPC Portal Objection Cycle: Why It Keeps Failing Applicants
Students constantly receive objection emails that often lack clarity or contradict previous instructions. Even after uploading correct documents, many applicants are forced to re-submit them multiple times.
- No guidance on how to resolve objections
- No profile editing after submission
- Applicants stuck in an endless cycle of review and rejection
This confusing process pushes many students to give up—or turn to unlawful methods just to get licensed.
📞 AHPC Portal Support System: What’s Missing and Why It Matters
Another major issue is the absence of any active support system. Unfortunately, AHPC provides:
- No live chat feature
- No responsive email support
- No hotline or dedicated assistance team
Without proper communication, students remain lost and helpless.
🕒 AHPC Portal Delays: Why Registration Takes Too Long
Although the AHPC claims to process applications in 45 days, many students wait several months for any progress. Even after approval, the system delays payment activation and license issuance.
These delays not only waste valuable time but also cause anxiety and uncertainty.
🌍 Global Impact: How AHPC Portal Issues Hurt Students Planning to Go Abroad

Professionals aiming to work overseas suffer the most. Because of the portal’s inefficiency, DataFlow verification often gets delayed. As a result:
- Students lose foreign job offers
- Visa processes get delayed or canceled
- High DataFlow fees go to waste
Clearly, the system harms both individual careers and the reputation of Pakistani institutions.
Core Reasons Behind the Failure
Understanding the root problems helps us identify practical solutions. Here’s what continues to break the system:
1. Unqualified Review Teams
Non-technical staff handle document reviews, even though they lack the necessary background in health sciences. Their lack of expertise causes:
- Wrongful objections
- Document misinterpretation
- Unfair rejections
This mismanagement discourages genuine professionals from moving forward.
2. No Pilot Testing or Feedback Integration
Initially, Syed Asad Naqvi suggested running the portal as a pilot project while continuing manual registration in parallel. AHPC ignored this advice and rolled out the portal without testing, which led to widespread failures.
3. Politically Influenced Administration
Many insiders claim that personal interests and political influences dominate AHPC operations. Several appointments face legal challenges in court. Instead of focusing on student welfare, the council continues to serve individual agendas.
💬 Real Stories: AHPC Portal Failures in the Words of Pakistani Students
“I applied in January and received the same objection email four times—for a document I already submitted.” – F.Sc graduate, Lahore
“After passing the review stage, I still had to wait two weeks for payment activation.” – BS Allied student, Karachi
“Because of the AHPC delay, I lost my job offer in the UAE.” – Healthcare Technician, Peshawar
These real stories reflect a nationwide crisis affecting hundreds of students.
✅ Solutions to AHPC Portal Failures: How to Restore Trust and Functionality
Reforming this broken system is essential. Below are immediate and long-term changes AHPC must implement:
Immediate Steps:
- Add video tutorials and downloadable guides on the portal
- Launch a 24/7 help center with trained professionals
- Allow profile editing and re-submission features
- Train reviewers in Allied Health academic and regulatory standards
Long-Term Reforms:
- Conduct an independent audit of the portal’s functionality
- Introduce a formal complaint redressal mechanism
- Keep both digital and manual systems active during the transition
- Replace unqualified personnel with trained professionals

The AHPC portal is so pathetic and unprofessional response. As I writen HEC and this came in to objection that write it in full form after 3 week of submission. Passing year writen in 4 digit but again saying write it in 4 digit. This delay and incompetancy of AHPC portal deprived a large number of students to avail the opportunities. This is very very serious loss for students. The govt must wake up to save the future of students.
