COURSE DESCRIPTION
Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) is essential for safe healthcare in every country. This 8-hour CPD course provides practical, step-by-step training on Standard Precautions—the minimum safety practices that must be applied for every patient, every time.
You will learn how infections spread, how to break the chain of infection, and how to protect patients and healthcare workers through correct hand hygiene, smart PPE selection and safe removal, respiratory hygiene, sharps and needle-stick prevention, safe injection basics, environmental cleaning and disinfection, and healthcare waste management. The course also introduces basic transmission-based precautions and outbreak awareness.
This course is suitable for medical students and healthcare professionals, including allied health disciplines, and is aligned with internationally accepted IPC principles while remaining practical for Pakistan-based settings.
